A new concept of spa salon will replace the space freed up by Red Door, a spa that permanently closed due to the pandemic of last year.

Private, a luxury skin and body care company, will open at 11838 Spectrum Center in the DC area in early 2022, a company spokesperson told Reston Now. The company will debut at one of many sites that describe themselves as “personalized wellness for everyone”.

The company, known as Mynd Spa & Salon Inc., filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in March just days after announcing the temporary closure of all social media sites.

The first locations in the region will open in Westpoint and Bethesda. The Tysons Corner, Gaithersburg and Fairfax Corner locations are slated to open early next year.

The spa will be managed by ISM SPA, a boutique spa management and wellness design company.

Privay assumed the leases of the Red Door locations in the DC area. The Reston location measures approximately 4,000 square feet and will include spa services in addition to salon services such as manicures, pedicures and hair care.
