A woman from Monroe faces one count of criminal theft after allegedly processing over $ 8,000 in fraudulent transactions at Massage Envy.

According to an arrest warrant for Tiana T. Thompson, 23, the Massage Envy district manager filed a police report regarding employee theft.

The manager said Thompson created a bogus service on the company’s computer and then paid for the service with members’ money. The money would then be converted into a gift card to pay for the bogus service. Thompson would then remove the money from the ledger.

According to the report, Thompson stole a total of $ 8,508 from March 2019 to December 2019. The manager said all actions on the computer must have been done on the premises with Thompson at work as the transactions were completed.

His username was also on most receipts. When the names of other employees emerged, they were not at work during the stated hours.

Thompson was incarcerated at Ouachita Correctional Center on Friday and the bond was set at $ 5,000.

Thompson bonded.
