WAITE PARK – Big changes are coming to a popular salon and spa.

Daylily Spa Salon plans to relocate from its location in St. Cloud and build a new spa salon next to Viking Electric in Waite Park.

Katie schmitz and Steph lewis own the St. Cloud and Sartell sites. Lewis says that with the lease of their St. Cloud location until next year, now was a good time to expand into their own building.

It made more sense to know where we are in our growth and where we are going, to be able to design our own building and really use the square footage.

The move will not only provide more convenience to their clients, but will also create more employment opportunities. Lewis says it also allows them to design the building to best meet their needs.

We are going to have a larger site to be able to accommodate another massage room, a larger parking lot and a pleasure room.

Although design plans and the site purchase contract have yet to be finalized, Waite Park City Council approved the preliminary and final platform for development at Monday’s meeting.

Lewis says they are closing the property later this summer, hoping to start in the fall and open by next summer.

She says once the Waite Park lounge opens, they will consider renovating the Sartell location.
