Dr Kieran Moore, medical officer of health at KFL & A Public Health, has confirmed an outbreak of COVID-19 at Binh’s Nail and Spa salon at 500 Gardiners Road in Kingston.
All customers who requested services at this salon between June 12 and June 24, 2020 are required to self-isolate and get tested, KFL & A Public Health said in a press release. Once tested, clients are required to quarantine themselves for 14 days from the date of their appointment, regardless of the test results.
KFL & A Public Health has identified at least eight people who have tested positive for COVID-19 as a result of the outbreak.
“The well-being of Binh’s Nail and Spa clients and estheticians in the salon is our top priority, while ensuring proper disinfection and cleaning is adhered to,” said Dr. Kieran Moore. “For now, the lounge will be closed until it can be safely reopened.”
Memorial Center’s COVID-19 Assessment Center is open June 25-26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. June 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and closed on Sunday June 28 in anticipation of the move to the Léon Center at 1, The Tragically Hip Way on Monday June 29. On Monday, June 29, the Center Léon assessment center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. : 00 pm
