23-year-old man dies in motorcycle crash on Corydon Pike, New Albany PD says

The New Albany Police Department responded to an accident involving a motorcycle on Saturday afternoon. At around 1:30 p.m., emergency responders from the New Albany Police and Fire Department were dispatched to Cordon Pike near Eagle Lane over a report of an accident involving a car and motorcycle. Upon arrival, officers located a 2020 Kia Soul and a Yamaha motorcycle involved in the crash. Motorcycle rider Christopher Cupp, 23, was taken to UofL hospital but was later pronounced dead. The Kia driver was transported to Baptist Floyd with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators believe the Kia was turning from Eagle Lane onto Corydon Pike and the motorcycle was heading north on Corydon Pike. Reports determined that the motorcycle was traveling at high speed before the crash. This accident is still under investigation by the New Albany Police Department.
